Sarah McCourt

Artistic Director

Restless Theatre grew out of Sarah's interest in adapting classic stories for contemporary performance. She founded the company in 2008 whilst completing an MFA in Staging Shakespeare at Exeter University, and completed her PhD thesis on small scale touring adaptations of Shakespeare's plays. Trained as an actor and director at Manchester Metropolitan and Rose Bruford, Sarah is a qualified teacher with fifteen years experience teaching in Further and Higher Education.  She has worked with students of all ages running Strode Youth Theatre and classes for the Northcott Theatre, PQA, and infusionarts. Sarah is our Bronze and Silver Trinity Arts Award Adviser.

Sarah has recently appeared in Galavant (ABC Studios), Rewind and Away From It All (webseries), The Empty Space and Party From Now Till Dawn (Zanifare Films), The Runner (Emberlense Productions), VacanZ (PLZ Survival), The Tempest and Macbeth (Individual Theatre), A Present for Anna and Help for Helen (Forum Theatre for Exstream Theatre), and The Changeling (Behemoth Theatre).
